EnerSys® Hospitality

The global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, EnerSys and their ODYSSEY Battery brand, began their partnership with HB&M Marketing & Communications in 2006.

Following a long and successful relationship with HB&M Marketing & Communications, EnerSys and ODYSSEY partnered with HB&M Sports in 2009 to begin their journey into NASCAR with the goal of introducing their stellar products to the racing community. (EnerSys’ ODYSSEY Battery provides dependable, high-performance batteries for competition vehicles that operate under intense racing conditions.)

In 2012 EnerSys/ODYSSEY Battery expanded their program by sponsoring Jeff Burton’s No. 31 Chevrolet at Pocono Raceway and Martinsville Speedway.

In 2014, EnerSys partnered with Team Penske. The Penske name has a long history of partnering with leaders in their respective industries to support their goal of being the best in the business. EnerSys demonstrates the superiority of their stored energy solutions through their partnership with Team Penske. A wide range of EnerSys batteries are used on the racing side, providing power for pit practice cars, the wind tunnel, starting carts for IndyCar racing and Team Penske’s haulers. They are also used in an array of applications around the Team Penske facility.

Not only does EnerSys provide the power of Team Penske’s race team, they support the power needs on the business side as well. Penske Truck Leasing, another HB&M partner, equips their entire fleet of tractor trailers with the Odyssey battery line which provides 2x the overall power and 3x the life of their competition thanks to their plate pure lead technology. EnerSys and Team Penske are a powerful partnership on and off the track.

Along with providing key products for racing vehicles, their racing program continues to grow as they host customers, distributors and employees at NASCAR races throughout the season. Guests are given the VIP treatment with guided pit & garage tours, meet-and-greets with team owner Roger Penske, and driver appearances.

Odyssey Battery currently runs as the primary sponsor on Team Penske's No. 22 Xfinity Series car, driven by Austin Cindric, for two races per season.
